Companions vs Classic - Merlin

We’re back with another Companions vs Classic Guide, this time featuring Merlin.

This guide series isn't meant to go super in-depth on skill usage or hero roles, we have our Hero Deep Dives for that. Instead, the focus here is on visually comparing the changes (buffs, nerfs, or reworks) a hero received in the Companions version compared to Classic.

Notable changes:

• Destiny Foreseen (Ultimate):
  • Companion Merlin trades shield strength (150% vs 180%) for much higher team DR (45% vs 35%).
• Magical Amelioration:
  • Companion heals slightly higher (7% vs 6%).
  • Companion redirects more ally damage: 40% vs 30%.
• Karmic Law
  • Huge damage increase in Companion (260% vs 180%).
  • Classic version is overall weaker.
• Guardian Owl
  • No changes between versions.
